My club has several of these fitted in single and twin seater gliders and also now in a tug. The small footprint of this unit means it’s easy to fit on an existing panel.
The display is basic (no map view just An ‘LED clock face’ so is relatively easy for a pilot to understand where another Flarm equipped aircraft is that has triggered an alert. But full understanding of the modes and alerts requires careful reading of the manual.
Installation is simple:
1. Cut a rectangular hole, secure the unit with the double sided adhesive tape provided or carefully drill a couple of holes for the tiny screws provided.
2. Connect to the Flarm device with a RJ12 lead (provided). Power and data is via the RJ12 lead in accordance with the IGC pin out standard. Note the manual uses a pin numbering order the opposite to other LXNav products.
3. Check you have the right settings, default baud rate for most Flarm devices seems to be 19200.
4. Check you have a steady green light bottom left. If you have a flashing green light then the display is not working!
The sound level of the LED unit is adequate for gliders but not tugs. There is no means on this display to plug in a speaker.
Swift’s response to the online order and a prior email correspondence was excellent. A great company to do business with.

Quick service and the unit does exactly what I want it to do.
